She has experience in the areas of Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, and Immunology. During her Master’s and Ph.D. (IBCCF/UFRJ), she focused her studies on signal transduction pathways and gene expression regulation in infectious processes. She held a PNPD Postdoctoral Fellowship at UFRJ (2010), a Pew Postdoctoral Fellowship at the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology (LJI, CA, USA), and an Atração de Jovens Talentos (BJT) Fellowship from the Ciência Sem Fronteiras Project at UFRJ. She is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Immunology at IMPG (UFRJ), where she is dedicated to the study of cellular signaling and transcriptional and epigenetic control in the modulation of T lymphocyte and macrophage function during infections and cancer. She is a CNPq Productivity Fellow level 2, a Young Scientist of Our State (FAPERJ), and an Affiliate Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences.
